King Xerxes – King of 127 provinces stretching from India to Cush. First married to Queen Vashti and than Queen Esther.

Queen Vashti – refused to go to King Xerxes and was punished by being removed from the throne.

Esther – A beautiful girl of Jewish decent who won the favor of King Xerxes. Esther took Vashti’s position as queen.

Mordecai – Esther’s cousin and guardian. Mordecai saves the king and helps in saving the Jewish people.

Haman – Is the king’s most trusted and honored advisor. He plans the destruction of the Jews.
